Katie & Chris are such sweethearts, and I feel so blessed to be capturing their memories during such a special time in their lives. Chris contacted me to capture what was one of the most thoughtful proposals back in November when he asked Katie to marry him, and now I get to take their engagement & wedding photos as well! We did their engagement session in Bostwick, Georgia, and it ended up being one of the funniest sessions I’ve ever done… About halfway through the session, it started POURING out of no where (not predicted by my weather app!). I went into panic mode, but Katie & Chris were so calm & positive about the situation. We tucked under an overhang and took some photos with raindrops in the background. THEN a stray dog decided to crash the photo shoot… and I mean literally wouldn’t leave Katie & Chris’ sides or get out of the photos. He was better behaved than most peoples’ dogs that I photograph, and it was hilarious. Ultimately a huge boom of thunder spooked him enough and he ran off. In the end, we had to cut our session short because the rain never let up, but I loved every second with this sweet couple and how they laughed off the unfortunate circumstances. I can’t wait till their wedding in Savannah, GA next year!
