On a recent and beautiful Sunday afternoon, I was blessed to attend my neighbor Karen’s 2nd annual Celebration of Friends and Family. While I couldn’t attend the party last year, I glimpsed iPhone pictures of that “Tea Party” and knew I had to try to free up my schedule to experience one of her stunning parties in person.
And am I so glad that I did! This year’s event was a “Garden Party,” and it was a photographer’s dream! I was in detail heaven as I snapped close-ups of the multitude of little touches that came together to make every table and surface simply stunning! From the tablecloths to napkin rings to favors, no detail was overlooked.
The luncheon was catered by Talk of the Town who I have worked with at several weddings and absolutely adore! The delicious food was beautifully presented, highlighted by a flower pot cake that was almost too pretty to cut and eat! The adorable baked goods were by Lizy B’s Bakeshop. A Mimosa Bar was housed in a flower cart where guests could help themselves to delicious sparkling concoctions. Flowers were provided by Suwanee Town Florist and carried the Garden theme from the front porch and throughout the home, highlighted by sunflowers unifying the look with arrangements in watering cans, buckets and boots! Everyone who was lucky enough to attend this fun “ladies luncheon” went home with lovely keepsakes by which to remember it and Karen’s wonderful hospitality.
I hope you enjoy these photos and that they inspire you to spend time with the special people in your life!
