Annie & Chris met while attending the University of Georgia… while skeet shooting. The UGA chapter of The Wildlife Society hosted a skeet shoot for beginner hunters. Chris was there as an experienced hunter and taught Annie how to shoot a shotgun. They are now both working as wildlife biologists and still shoot together. :) It’s so fitting that their wedding was held at the 1100 acre Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club. In fact, the venue gives 100 free targets to groomsmen, so Chris & his guys went shooting the morning of the wedding.
Foxhall Resort has multiple venues; Annie & Chris chose to get married at Legacy Lookout, which sits on a hill and has an incredible view of the property. They shared an adorable First Look, which allowed us to take fun, relaxed photos of the wedding party before the ceremony. I LOVE the bridesmaids’ berry colored dresses and pearl details. What I love even more is that many of these girls have been best friends since high school, and I photographed them in a wedding last year!
All in all, it was a beautiful, emotional, & joyful day. Even though it was a hot one, we had strong enough winds to cool us off (and also blow Annie’s veil around!). I love the way Chris looks at Annie & how he makes her laugh. I loved watching both of them tear up several times throughout the day. And I love that they trusted me to capture these precious memories for them.
