Cailey & Daniel met on the very first day of their sophomore year of high school. They were seated next to each other in history class, and the rest is history (see what I did there?). Their wedding date, June 17, 2017, marked 7 years and 5 months of dating.
Their wedding at 9 Oaks Farm was a fairytale. It was one of the most personalized weddings I’ve photographed, with numerous details such as custom m&ms, hershey’s kisses, koozies, cups, cookies, you name it! I loved how much time Cailey & Daniel got to enjoy each other’s company on the wedding day. They shared a sweet First Look, and then we utilized the many gorgeous spots on the property for photos with the wedding party. When it was time for the ceremony, Cailey surprised Daniel by arriving in a horse & carriage. Later at the reception, they were both surprised by the arrival of King of Pops (their favorite!).
It was a bright and sunny day ALL day… except for about 10 minutes. Ironically, those 10 minutes fell during the ceremony, and I don’t think anyone saw it coming. Right as Cailey began to walk down the aisle toward Daniel, it began pouring. The staff at 9 Oaks Farm was wonderful and ran to grab a handful of umbrellas to provide to the couple, the bridesmaids, parents, & the photo/video teams. Most guests just sat in the rain, but everyone had such awesome attitudes and laughed it off. Right after Cailey & Daniel shared their first kiss as husband and wife and proceeded back down the aisle, the rain stopped. It was hilarious timing and will make for a great story when they reminisce over their wedding day.
To end this fairytale wedding, Cailey & Daniel left under a sky of fireworks (thanks to DJ Randy Burton!). Since the day they booked me 14 months prior to the wedding, I had been anticipating this one shot (I even practiced during the 4th of July last year!). It was my first time photographing fireworks at a wedding, and it was rather nerve-wracking only having about 60 seconds to get the shot. Fortunately I think it turned out rather well. :) And I couldn’t imagine a more perfect exit for these two Disney lovers.
