Stephanie and Spencer met in March 2011 while both attending the University of Georgia. They were enjoying a night out in downtown Athens with their friends when they met on the dance floor of The Loft. They exchanged numbers, and a week later Spencer asked Stephanie out. Stephanie claims that she knew Spencer was “the one” on their very first date. Since then, they’ve bought a house together, adopted two pups, and now they’re MARRIED!
Their wedding was held at one of my all time FAVORITE venues: The Farm at High Shoals. And even though it was HOT, the day was an absolute blast. I don’t know if I’ve ever met a more joyful couple than these two. I mean, they’re constantly joking and laughing together, and they make my job way too easy. Ever since their hilarious engagement session, I had been itching to photograph them again on their big day.
Things I loved about their wedding day include ALL of the gorgeous details, the beautiful florals by Gardenia Floral, their hilarious & sweet ceremony officiated by Spencer’s uncle, the twinkling arbor that every guest got to walk under when entering the reception at the Stables, the killer band (U.S. Beat) and the fact that Stephanie & many of her friends are dancers, and the super fun photo booth by Off the Wall Photo Booths.
But most of all, I love that Stephanie found my work years ago and contacted me as soon as she was engaged about photographing her wedding. She & Spencer have been a dream to work with since day 1, always giving me something to laugh or smile about. I’m IN LOVE with these photos, and I hope they showcase the amazingness of this day.
