The most BEAUTIFUL evening at the Botanical Gardens made for the most PERFECT background for this surprise proposal. Sammi & Walker have been dating for 2.5 years, and Walker’s family created the guise of a family photo session in order to get the couple dressed up and to the Botans without suspicion. They even talked color schemes and coordinating outfits in a group chat… all knowing that they wouldn’t actually be showing up for a photoshoot.
One of my favorite details is that Sammi’s close friend somehow got the key to her apartment and snuck in while she was gone in order to grab a dress that she knew Sammi really liked and had hinted at being proposed to in. Of course Sammi couldn’t have worn this dress to the family photoshoot without being tipped off, but as soon as Walker popped the question and shocked Sammi, her friend came out of hiding, dress in tow and ready for an outfit change.
We then enjoyed the gardens and took some mystical, magical golden hour photos. Congrats, Sammi & Walker!
