Anyone in Georgia knows how unpredictable the weather can be! I kept a close eye on the forecast for Justin & Amber’s engagement session, but it seemed like it kept changing every hour! Fortunately the rain stopped right before their shoot, and the sun came out and it was GORGEOUS. In some of the photos, you can even see raindrops falling from the trees in the background when the wind blew… it was magical! Their laid-back attitudes about the rain (they wouldn’t reschedule even when it looked horrible just hours before the shoot!) reminded me of our first meeting at my studio when they told me they have no rain plan for their wedding day… “It can rain on us” they said. :)
Their engagement session was held on UGA’s North Campus, where we reenacted Justin’s proposal to Amber at the UGA Chapel. We then walked to Sanford Stadium, where Justin had originally planned to propose (but alas the field was too wet to walk on!). These two were a joy to photograph, and the shoot felt more like hanging out with friends. Amber & Justin found me through another bride & groom of mine, and I’m so glad they did! I can’t wait to photograph these two again in a wedding party next Saturday, and then AGAIN for their wedding at the Ford Plantation in Savannah, Georgia next March!
