Ashley is one of the masterminds behind The Wheeler House, one of my favorite venues in Georgia! Social media marketing, managing, planning, coordinating — she does it all! I met her while photographing a wedding at The Wheeler House, and I continue to recommend the venue to brides & grooms because of their amazing staff (like Ashley!). Needless to say, I was thrilled when Ashley reached out to me about her OWN wedding! It’s coming up in June 2018 at Historic Smithonia Farm, and it’s going to be incredible!
She & Zach drove out toward Athens, GA for their engagement session. They wanted a cotton field as their location, which is easier said than done. We spent months trying to find a good field, obtaining access, and predicting when it would be in bloom… and ultimately we had to reschedule when it didn’t bloom as expected! Everything finally started coming together for our second date of choice, and the weather forecast looked great! But unfortunately you can’t always predict these things, because it ended up sprinkling the ENTIRE shoot. Fortunately, Ashley & Zach were troopers and decided to go along with the session anyway. If you look closely in the photos, you’ll see raindrops, but their love steals the show!
