Caroline & Chaz grew up together but didn’t begin dating until college. They’ve now been together for over 5 years, and they’re engaged to get married this September at Neverland Farms in Cleveland, GA. Both Caroline & Chaz love spending time outdoors hiking & camping, so they chose to do their engagement session at Watson Mill Bridge State Park in Comer, GA. I loved the variety of backdrops we had to work with: cute log cabins, a covered bridge, & a waterfall / shoals.
I normally only reschedule engagement sessions due to precipitation, but I ended up calling Caroline the morning of their session to make sure she was okay with the weather… because even though it was dry, it was COLD. It was in the low 30’s and the winds were strong. I didn’t want Caroline & Chaz to be miserable during their session, but they weren’t scared by the cold forecast at all! We did the session as planned, and it was hands-down the coldest session I’ve photographed to date, but you can’t tell at all in the photos! They braved the frigid conditions and had awesome attitudes the entire time. In fact, it gave them even more reason to cuddle up in a blanket, which provided some super cute shots. In order to “defrost” our hands during the session, Chaz quickly built a fire that we warmed up next to. It was also my first time ever shooting with gloves on… which is more difficult than I thought.
I’m thankful to have clients who are troupers and endure less-than-ideal weather with smiles on their faces. I’m thankful to have clients who are adventurous and run with my crazy ideas. And I’m thankful to have clients who are so in love that it makes my job way too easy. Caroline & Chaz, I can’t wait for your wedding day!
