Y’all might recognize Haley in these photos. I photographed her UGA senior portraits AND her graduation photos when she completed her Master’s. But most significantly, she’s been an assistant of mine for quite a while, helping me as I’ve photographed countless engagement sessions. I can’t tell you how stoked I was when she texted me a photo of her ring to announce her engagement to Chris, and NOW SHE’S A BRIDE OF MINE! :)
Because Haley trusts my vision and has seen me create gorgeous images in seemingly lackluster locations, she immediately asked where I wanted to shoot her session (I love this kind of trust!). I told her I’d been wanting to do a sunset shoot on Stone Mountain for quite some time and that September is the month of yellow daisies on the mountain. It was SO much fun chasing the light (literally) as we hiked up the mountain, stopping each time we found yummy golden rays, and ending only after the sun was below the horizon and the moon appeared in the sky. Even though we missed the peak time for daisy blooms by less than a week, I still LOVE the photos we captured. Haley & Chris are too adorable together with their red hair & huge smiles, and I can’t WAIT to photograph their wedding next July at the Brickyard in Marietta!
