I met Lauren YEARSÂ ago when she came over to visit my roommate at the time. Ever since that day, she’s followed my work on Facebook and has been one of my biggest supporters. Her sweet comments on my photos have always made me smile, and I was THRILLED when she got engaged and reached out to me. She & Teddy hadn’t chosen a date or a venue yet, but they wanted to go ahead and get my availability and recommendations (y’all… how are my clients so amazing?!). They ended up choosing the Fernbank Museum of Natural History — one of my longtime “bucket list” venues!
For their engagement session, I drove down to Milledgeville where Teddy works and where Lauren visits on weekends. It was my first time in Milledgeville, and GCSU’s campus is absolutely gorgeous! I always find that I’m more inspired in new locations, and it was definitely true during this session! We walked around as they showed me places of significance, like the fountain, the pergola, and the church where Teddy works. We even stopped into Lauren & Teddy’s favorite restaurant — The Local Yolkal Cafe. The cafe was actually closed at the time, but they were SO sweet & accommodating toward us. I’ll have to go back when they’re open and actually grab a bite!
Basically, Lauren & Teddy are two of the sweetest people I’ve met, and I am so thrilled that they found each other. I cannot WAIT for their big day next September.
