Taylor and Andrew are getting married next June at Indigo Falls in Dallas, GA, and I can’t wait! Their only request in terms of an engagement session location was that it be “outdoorsy” since they love spending time outdoors. We brainstormed different options around the Athens area, but then I found out that the Yellow Daisy Festival was happening at Stone Mountain Park on the date of their shoot… meaning the yellow daisies must be in full bloom. I’ve always wanted to see Stone Mountain at this time of the year when it’s decorated in gorgeous yellow flowers, and Taylor said she was equally excited about the idea. The only “obstacle” was that most of the daisies were halfway up the mountain, and I normally wouldn’t ask clients to hike uphill and get sweaty during a shoot… but luckily this outdoorsy couple wasn’t concerned about that at all! We started the shoot at the Grist Mill & Covered Bridge, saving the side of the mountain for right when the sun was setting. We hiked up there just in time for the gorgeous golden glow that I love, and paired with the yellow daisies? It was pure magic. Get ready for a LOT of yellow below, because I was absolutely obsessed and could have shot there all day! Taylor & Andrew, thanks for being so fun and adventurous!
