I’ve always wanted to do an Up themed engagement session based off the Disney Pixar movie, so I was ecstatic when Ashten contacted me about surprising her boyfriend for their two-year anniversary with an Up themed photoshoot. Since I had photographed them before, Ashten told Sam that I needed “models” for a styled-shoot idea I had… The real surprise was the Adventure Book that Ashten ordered and made for Sam with photos of their past two years together. We took the photos of Ashten with the book before Sam arrived so that the surprise wouldn’t be ruined. The majority of the props came from things I had laying around the studio, but I think it came together great! This couple obviously loves this movie, and they actually have a change jar that they keep and save up for Disney trips! Note: Many of these photos will only make sense if you’ve seen the movie.
