I’ve hit a lot of awesome milestones in my business, but being able to write this blog post is by far my proudest accomplishment. At the beginning of every year I set goals for the year. For 2015 I only set ONE goal: to receive a positive review from each of my wedding couples. I didn’t even know how many couples that would entail at the time, but I knew my goal was to serve each of them to the best of my ability, to love them, to ease their stresses, and to provide them with images that they will cherish forever. I ended up shooting 25 weddings in 2015 and getting to know and love 50 amazing people. I really couldn’t have dreamed of a better year. I’m grateful that God introduces me to such incredible clients who become my dear friends. And I’m grateful that my clients trust me with one of the most precious days of their lives.

My husband and I have used Claire multiple times throughout the years we’ve known her. Once for couple/graduation photos in college, once for engagement photos, as well as a Spotlight Session with my mom. The most recent included our wedding, which was our favorite event with her so far. Her professionalism is top notch – and she really knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera instead of awkward like I’ve felt in front of others. She’s extremely easy to work with and very flexible with scheduling to make it be what works best for you. She is prompt with communication and is very personable on phone and in person. Booking Claire as our photographer was without a doubt the best decision we made while choosing vendors for our wedding. We’re lucky enough to live in Athens, so we were able to meet with her in person at her studio in Watkinsville several times before the wedding. Claire’s level of professionalism is unparalleled- she is so knowledgeable and prepared in everything she does that we knew we had to book her after our first meeting. I think we were both a little nervous about a formal photo session going into our engagement pictures, but Claire made the whole experience comfortable and easy. I’ve never met another photographer who loves their job as much as Claire does. Or makes it look so easy. Where some photographers are disorganized, Claire will discuss a shot list with you weeks before your ceremony. I’ve seen photographers at others’ weddings who seem determined to control every aspect of the day. Claire floated quietly through our wedding and reception, documenting the day beautifully without changing or forcing anything. Most importantly, I think, Claire is a truly kind and genuine person. When we started the budgeting process for the wedding, we were thinking to ourselves that this was such an incredible sum for one day! We wanted to do something to give back as other people could benefit from it more. We thought about the whole courthouse marriage and donating the money we would’ve used for the wedding, but we both wanted to celebrate with family and friends, so we tried to look for vendors who give back. My wife, Gina, and I found Claire Diana Photography through Love Gives Way. From meeting at a local coffee shop in Athens getting to know Claire all the way up to the reveal of our wedding day pictures, Claire has been phenomenal. I can’t put into words how wonderful Claire is, not only in her photographs but as a person she is amazing. I remember in our engagement session back in October 2014, she made that whole experience fun and enjoyable. I’m pretty sure at one point I was smiling too much during the session. If you’re looking for a Wedding photographer, you will not be disappointed when it comes to Claire Diana. We received more pictures than we imagined we would and they were delivered to us way before they were suppose to be done, which was such a sweet and amazing surprise. The weather for our Wedding was not what we had hoped for. We made the decision to have our ceremony moved inside the day of our rehearsal and I was okay with that. I was more concerned on how all of our pictures would turn out. 9 Oaks Farm was our venue, the barn is absolutely beautiful, but the lights are dim inside. Outdoors it has so many wonderful places for photos, it was everything I had imagined in a venue. Because we decided to do a ‘first look’, which was also recommended by Claire Diana and was one of the best decisions we made, the weather had held off long enough for us to capture some of those beautiful photos! Also, our pictures inside the barn turned out so beautiful, all thanks to Claire Diana’s lighting. What’s great about Claire Diana is the passion she has for photography. Hearing her enthusiasm when a beautiful photo was captured brought so much excitement to me. Justley and I, along with our Moms, went to Claire Diana’s studio to have our photo reveal. I’ve known Claire since high school and throughout the planning process I heard horror stories about using people you know as wedding vendors. However, I never worried about this with Claire.
