Kristin & Nick got married at The Farm at High Shoals, one of my absolute favorite venues. They lined up an AMAZING team of vendors… Surround Sound brought down the house with their phenomenal entertainment at the reception (seriously, I was in awe), JL Designs created stunning floral pieces as usual, LRG Provisions catered (one of my FAVORITE Athens restaurants!), and I got to shoot alongside the talented videographers Evan and Jenna Creative who happen to be a past wedding couple of mine!
The day started out with champagne popping and Master’s watching, and it ended with a spectacular firework show over the lake. UGA’s Hairy Dawg even made an appearance, which was special since Kristin & Nick are both Double Dawgs! Even though I’ve shot at this venue many times, this was my first time photographing a ceremony on the “island” — and what a DREAMY location it was! All week leading up to the wedding, the forecast was showing massive amounts of rain. However, Kristin & Nick chose to take the risk and keep their ceremony outdoors on the island rather than moving it inside or under cover, and WOW did that decision pay off! We didn’t experience a single drop of rain on the wedding day, and I love the outdoor images we captured! I love when couples take risks in order to have the day of their dreams.
