Austin & McKenzie met while both attending Hebron Christian Academy, but didn’t start dating till they were in college. They’ve gone through a lot of transitions together, and one of their biggest is coming up soon — they’re moving to Mississippi next week for McKenzie to attend vet school!
Their wedding day at 9 Oaks Farm was absolutely stunning and one of the most EMOTIONAL days I’ve ever captured. Tears were rolling throughout so many moments of the day. For the first several months at least of wedding planning with McKenzie & Austin, they were set on not doing a “First Look,” which I completely respected. But as time went on, they ultimately decided to do one, and I’m SO glad they did. Not only did we have so much more time to take photos and were able to get them into their reception earlier, but they were able to have TWO big moments. Because Austin teared up during the First Look and then still sobbed as McKenzie came down the aisle… and it was adorable.
I was so touched by how close both Austin & McKenzie are to their families. I think my favorite moments were just watching them interact with their parents and siblings throughout the day. Or when Austin’s parents absolutely tore up the dance floor. I also loved that two of their dogs, Hooch & Lily, were the ring bearers!
The vendor team for their big day was INCREDIBLE. From Bleu House’s amazing food to Sound Insight Productions (DJ David Osborne) keeping the party going all night, it was all around just a fantastic day. Even their getaway car was adorable.
