Rachel & Dakota tied the knot on a stunning day in October at the most sentimental venue… Rachel’s family farm. The girls got ready in the house that Rachel grew up in, while the guys got ready in Rachel’s brother’s house (also on the property). Their reception was in a 100+ year old barn that Rachel’s dad renovated (and extended) for the wedding. He even built a stage and rock wall for the ceremony.
They thought of every little detail when preparing the property, even down to planting sunflowers that would be in bloom at the right time. Everything about this day was a labor of love. They were even out there the morning of the wedding working on final touches on the property because it had rained ALL WEEK leading up to the big day. But even with such terrible weather the entire week, Rachel & Dakota never stressed about it, and their wedding day ended up being clear skies, dry ground, and everything. Couldn’t have been more perfect.
I have a soft spot for meaningful details, and this day was full of them. For example, when Rachel was a little girl, she went with her grandfather to pick out a ring for a Christmas present for her grandmother. And that ring is now Rachel’s wedding band. How sweet is that?!
I could go into more detail about this day, but I think you can see the happiness in the photos below. Dakota & Rachel cannot stop smiling when in each other’s presence, and I am so so happy that they found each other.
