From day one of working with Samantha & AJ, I could tell they were my kind of people. They have two rescue pups (featured on their cake), their first date was eating pizza and drinking beer, and they were planning a wedding that focused on their priorities (good food, good music, and good photos) while letting go of all the other little details. In many ways, their wedding was “simple” and Samantha joked that they were “lazy” by not putting more effort into the decor and other areas. However, they chose a venue that’s stunning even without any decor, and by cutting some of these things, they were able to budget more for the things that mattered most to them. They used DJ David Osborne with Sound Insight Productions, who is THE BEST and kept the dance floor going all night. They had White Tiger Gourmet cater, and I couldn’t say better things about the food or their service. And it was clear that they really valued photography and wanted this day to be captured and preserved in the best way possible (and I hope my team accomplished that!).
It really was such an amazing day with their friends & family, and my heart was so full as I drove home that night. You’ll be hard pressed to find a sweeter couple that goes out of their way to make you feel so loved and appreciated. The only negative part was not only waking up SUPER sick the next morning, but learning that Samantha and AJ were under the weather as well! What a terrible way to begin your honeymoon! Apparently many people from the wedding came down with something the next morning after a night of sweating on the dance floor in 50 degree weather……. but it was worth every second! Samantha said she had never seen AJ dance like that before, and let me tell you… he was killin’ it. :)
