Words can’t express how much I have loved celebrating Bridget & Trey’s relationship and capturing their precious memories over the last year. They both attended the University of Georgia, so we took their engagement photos last spring on UGA’s campus. They didn’t meet in Athens though, but rather through a mutual friend while out in Atlanta. It wasn’t long before they realized that they are “basically identical versions of one another,” from studying the same major in college, to listening to the same music, to sharing a deep love of animals, and to having very similar jobs.
Their first year together was full of Netflix date nights, ordering take-out, and adding their first puppy into the mix. After a year and nine months, Trey proposed to Bridget in Piedmont Park while walking their sweet pup. It was a rainy and dreary day, but they both remember it as the best day of their lives up till that point. 2015 was a big year for them — They got engaged in March, bought a house together, & rescued their second puppy from a puppy mill (one of the many reasons I love this couple!). A year after Trey popped the big question, they said “I do” at Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta.
They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony & then headed to the Wimbish House for their reception. I loved every detail of this wedding, from the adorable flower girls to the removable lace straps on Bridget’s dress to the bold blue & purple color palette. They danced the night away to the incredible Ultimate Sound band, and I think they’d both agree that the day became their new “best day of their lives.”
