As I’ve said before, I absolutely adore repeat clients… it’s such an honor and joy to walk alongside them during different life milestones, getting to watch them grow and evolve over time. M came to me a few years ago for a boudoir session and traveled back to Athens for maternity photos this spring. And this time I got to meet her husband!
We started at the studio with the usual pampering that all my clients receive. M got her hair & makeup professionally done, and then we captured some classic portraits against both light and dark backgrounds. M really wanted artwork for the walls of her home, so I tried to stick to really timeless poses.
After we finished up her solo portraits at the studio, I took M & her husband to a nearby location that I felt would accomplish the vibe they were going for. They said that their engagement photos back in the day, while BEAUTIFUL and earthy, didn’t feel as much like “them” because of the location and outfits they chose. This time they wanted to wear things they’d wear out to grab coffee in the city, so I took them to a very urban spot — the Chase Street Warehouses, where there are coffee shops, gyms, dance studios, you name it.
Fortunately they LOVED these photos as much as I do. I am so excited for them as they grow their family.
PRO TIP: For maternity, I recommend having your session between 29-33 weeks pregnant. And it’s never too soon to get on my calendar, as I tend to book out 2-3 months in advance. So hit me up if you’re at all interested in an experience like this!
