I can honestly say I’ve NEVER seen anyone more shocked by a proposal than Levi was when Anthony popped the question. Anthony did an INCREDIBLE job with this surprise, leading Levi to believe that they were going to a work event at the Botanical Gardens in Athens (something that’s not at all unusual for Anthony’s job). They had been talking about this moment for a while, so Levi even checked Anthony’s pockets before leaving to make sure there wasn’t a ring box (something he’d been doing for months). I was hiding behind a gate and got to capture the CUTEST reaction ever when Anthony got down on one knee.
Anthony and Levi have a love story for the ages and I definitely am not going to do it justice in this short blog post. But in summary, they met in a Facebook group for Agricultural teachers. Levi made a post asking for help with a lesson plan, and Anthony responded. They then exchanged very professional work-related emails back and forth for a while… and that’s how it began. Eventually they exchanged numbers and began flying back and forth to visit each other for 6 months of long distance. Anthony said he knew Levi was the one when he realized he never wanted to leave… and Levi said driving Anthony to the airport after visits was extremely painful.
Now they’re together forever, and I am SO HAPPY for them and grateful that I got to capture this special moment.
