Y’ALL I am so excited about this blog post and showing you some gorgeous photos of Anu & Brett. But first I have a funny story…
Months prior to meeting Brett and going on their first date, Anu went to a restaurant (I’ll leave the name out to be kind) where she was munching on a sandwich when she looked down and BAM, there was a half eaten roach. Like, she had totally taken a bite out of it! Anu of course told the waitress, who told the manager, who offered her a $35 giftcard to come back, but internally she was like OMG no I’m never coming back here.
And then Brett comes along and asks Anu on their first date… to this SAME restaurant! Anu agrees and had the BEST time, despite eating very little. In her words: “I mean I legit risked eating another roach for this man and that’s a lot coming from a vegetarian. Totally worth it.”
How freaking hilarious and adorable and also jarring is that story?!
I loved getting to meet Anu & Brett during their engagement session in the city. When Anu sent me a picture of the dress she was planning on wearing, I knew we needed to find an epic location that would fit the vibe. Fortunately we stumbled upon Millennium Gate Museum, and y’all I’m OBSESSED. Almost as obsessed I am with this couple. They look like straight models, and I couldn’t pick my jaw up from the floor during the session. We had so much fun even though it was CHILLY, and then we finished at Jackson Street Bridge just as the sun had gone down.
I love everything I’ve learned about this awesome couple, and can I just say that they’re a match made in heaven? They both bring something different to the table and compliment each other in the best ways. I cannot WAIT to photograph them later this year at their Georgian Terrace wedding.
