Darcie & William are both software engineers and met sitting next to each other at work. They’ve been dating for almost a year and a half, and they’re having an intimate wedding with their families this next month (which I can’t wait to photograph!).
We took their engagement photos at Piedmont Park and a part of the Atlanta Beltline on a perfectly warm and sunny day. There is so much that I loved about this session! It was my first time photographing a specific wall on the Beltline that I’ve been dying to photograph for YEARS. Because it was such a beautiful evening, there was a TON of foot traffic on the Beltline, but we still managed to get some really fun photos. Piedmont Park was also crowded with people and tents setting up for the Dogwood Festival, but by using the right angles and some photography tricks, we were able to avoid the chaos and still get beautiful backdrops in their photos.
My favorite part of the session was how fun & natural Darcie & William were. They were extremely affectionate toward one another, and when I commented on how cute their actions were, William said “this is how we always are.” They’re very obviously smitten with each other, and I loved their 1-foot height difference allowing William to place his head right on top of Darcie’s. :) Gosh, they’re just too adorable. Stay tuned, because I’ll be blogging these two again soon!
