Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you’re instantly best friends? That’s how it felt when I met Ellen & John during their engagement session. They drove all the way from KANSAS to Atlanta for their session — a 12 hour drive that turned into 15 when they ran into some complications. But once we were together, we had so much fun! We explored Ponce City Market and the Atlanta Beltline, two locations I adore because they’re constantly changing / providing different backdrops. You can’t tell in the photos because I was very strategic with my angles, but the place was PACKED for the Labor Day weekend. But even while working around crowds of people, the session felt so fun & natural. I loved how Ellen & John’s outfits coordinated so well, and my favorite part… They brought their sweet pup to join for photos! Their golden retriever, Clark, is about a year old and was a bundle of joy for photos (although mildly distracted by all the other people & dogs around). I love these photos and can’t wait to photograph this sweet couple again in the spring!
