Shannon is from Athens, and Ben is from Missouri. However, they both ended up pursuing Ph.D.s in accounting at The University of Texas at Austin. They met through the program, graduated, got married in August, and have now begun their careers teaching at the University of Arizona. What a whirlwind!
I was thrilled when Shannon contacted me from Texas about her intimate wedding in Athens. All of the planning was long-distance, but everything came together so wonderfully. With the help of Georgia Grace Weddings, one of my FAVORITE planners/coordinators, Shannon & Ben were able to put together a team of amazing vendors for their special day. We started at The Spa at Graduate Athens where Shannon got ready, and then we headed over to the Day Chapel at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia for an intimate ceremony. The evening ended with a reception dinner at 5&10. All in all, it was a perfect way for these two to celebrate their union amongst close family & friends. I feel so honored to have capture the occasion.
