Marissa & Michael met while running cross country & track at Emory University. Marissa is now working toward her doctorate degree at the University of Georgia, while Michael is teaching in Atlanta. They spend many of their weekends together, and running is still a big part of their relationship. In fact, Michael proposed to Marissa while on a run at the Intramural Fields! He set up candles and roses that Marissa would stumble upon during their run (how adorable is that?!). Even though they’re getting married up in Pittsburg, they chose to do their engagement photos in Athens at the State Botanical Gardens — another place where they’ve spent time running together. We were blessed with the perfect weather for their shoot, and they were SO cute in front of the camera. I’m pretty sure we were laughing for most of their session. Congrats, Marissa & Michael!!
