Oh how I adore Emily & David… I call them my “adventure couple.” I photographed their wedding in the Great Smokey Mountains two years ago, which included 25 degree weather and a field of elk. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and go check it out. Emily is now finishing her time at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and I’m so thrilled I got to take her “Double Dawg” senior photos. On the day of the session, the weather forecast took an unexpected turn for the worst. My other sessions for the day opted to reschedule, but a little rain didn’t scare off Emily. We still did her grad session with David and their dog, Beau, and it was a BLAST. I will never tire of making memories with these two. Even though it rained for the vast majority of the session and Beau looked like a wet rat by the end (Emily’s words), I am so thrilled with how these photos turned out. Congrats, Emily!
Oh, and if you’re looking at these photos and don’t think it was raining, it’s because I shoot with settings that largely obscure rain from my backgrounds. But if you look at the fountain, for example, you’ll see all of the raindrops hitting the water!
