At this point, I’ve almost lost track of how many times I’ve photographed Julie. I’ve been documenting her life stages from the time she was 12 years old, and now she’s 19. You can see her high school senior pictures and a fun stroll down memory lane here.
Julie just finished her first year of college, and I got to spend an evening with her in front of my camera again. One of my favorite things about Julie & her mom are that they’re not only extremely LOYAL clients, but they trust me completely. They always let me choose the locations for our sessions because they trust my vision, and this time I really threw some weird ones at them. The first spot was just a few trees outside my neighborhood right in the middle of a parking lot. It didn’t look like much to the untrained eye, but I knew the light would be spectacular. The second spot was a wall in front of a liquor store. And then we went to a skate park, because I’ve always thought that would be a cool location… Although we found out that it’s not as cool when there are a million skaters there. :) But we finished in a field at golden hour, and it was perfect. Julie brought her sweet boyfriend, and everyone knows how much I love photographing the way couples interact.
Thanks, Julie (and mom!), for continuing to come back and for always being such a joy.
