Dorian and Jason grew up living just 5 minutes from each other. They went to the same church and the same schools, were in the same youth group and even went on the same retreats. However, they didn’t meet until the summer of 2013 when they both visited a Grace Fellowship ministry leader’s house for a time of God stories and prayer. Dorian says she left that day knowing that something was different. Even though they had been so close in proximity for so many years, God waited until the perfect time to bring them together. They tied the knot this October at the Carl House in Auburn, Georgia. Even though there was a pretty rainy forecast for their wedding day, they optimistically decided to hold the ceremony outside. It turned out that the rain held off just long enough for a gorgeous ceremony and blessed us with some stunning backlit rain photos at the end of the night.
Dorian & Jason are one of my Love Gives Way couples, meaning they chose to use their wedding day to raise support and awareness for organizations fighting against sex trafficking. They chose me as their photographer since I partner with Out of Darkness, an organization that is special to Dorian and aims to reach, rescue, and restore victims of sex trafficking in the city of Atlanta. The selfless love that Dorian & Jason have for each other and for others is incredible to witness. I couldn’t be happier for this couple, and I am so grateful that I was there to document their big day.
