To describe how Haley & Chris met in one word: Zombies. Interesting start for a wedding blog, right? :)
Haley & Chris both loved the game “Humans vs. Zombies” (HvZ) while in college. Haley played at the University of Georgia, and Chris played at Georgia Southern University. In June 2012, the UGA chapter held an invitational event open to schools around the state. Haley & Chris met during that invitational and continued to chat around invitational time each consecutive year. It wasn’t until they had risen in rank and were in charge of jointly planning the 2015 summer invitational that a relationship really began to develop.
This is actually the FOURTH time Haley has been on my blog. I photographed her senior photos from UGA, her celebratory photos upon completing her Master’s degree, her engagement photos, and now her wedding!! She has also been my assistant over the years, helping me on countless engagement sessions. Needless to say, I was stoked when it was her turn to be in front of my camera!
Haley & Chris’s wedding was held at The Brickyard in Marietta. The day was full of pretty sunflowers, an adorable flower girl, Mac the Cheese truck, and hilarious groomsmen that continued to strike their own poses while I laughed and snapped away. My favorite is their “rap album” shot. :) I absolutely adored Haley’s beautiful dress and her super unique/intricate engagement ring (get ready for ring shot overload… I just can’t help it). Even though it rained on and off the entire day, we were able to find cover and even backlight some raindrops for a few romantic nighttime shots.
