Brad and Hannah first met in the fall of 2009 when they were both freshmen at the University of Georgia. Their worlds collided when Brad quite literally ran into Hannah one night at Snelling Dining Hall, upending a fresh plate of pasta and marinara onto Hannah’s sweatshirt. It wasn’t until the following school year when Hannah moved into a new dorm that she crossed paths with Brad again… who now happened to be her Resident Assistant! Hannah checked out a large cart from Brad in order to haul her furniture up to her room, but held onto the cart longer than expected. Brad was charged with tracking down the cart-thief, thus making their second encounter just as awkward as the first. Later Hannah would admit that despite these two slightly uncomfortable situations, she thought Brad was “awkward, but kind of cute.” Soon they began spending time together through programs in the dorm and mutual friends’ parties. One day after six hours of enjoying each other’s company at Chick-Fil-A, Brad mustered up the courage to tell Hannah how he felt about her. They decided to “give it a try,” and over 5 years later, it’s one of the best choices either of them has ever made.
Hannah & Brad got married on January 2, 2016 at St Peter Chanel Catholic Church with their reception at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, Georgia. Both venues were still adorned with holiday decorations. Hannah & Brad shared an intimate First Look in the gardens and braved the cold to capture some gorgeous outdoor photos. I loved Hannah’s cathedral length veil, of which you can see more photos from her bridal session. My favorite parts of the day include their First Look (if you look closely, you can see the tears welling up in their eyes), their beautiful Catholic ceremony (I had to photograph from a distance, but I still captured some sweet moments of adoration between the couple), and when Hannah shared a first dance with her brother (her mom is pictured tearing up in the corner). All in all, it was a truly touching day for this incredible couple, and I feel honored to have been chosen to capture it.
