Sarah & Carson tied the knot on December 20th at Watkinsville First Baptist Church with their reception held at the Melting Point in Athens, Georgia. I loved every second and detail of this navy & pink winter-wedding. The forecast for their day said it’d be in the 40’s with a 90% chance of rain all day – yikes – but Sarah was more than prepared! She had a gorgeous white fur coat to keep her warm during some super classy outdoor photos, and she had a clear, domed umbrella in case portraits had to be taken in the rain. It was a miracle that we only had a little bit of misty drizzle and only for a few minutes during outdoor portraits. And although it was pretty cold, Sarah and her gorgeous bridesmaids braved it marvelously. Some favorite parts of the day include the 10 quick minutes we spent in downtown Athens taking nighttime portraits with the twinkling Christmas lights, listening to Sam Burchfield set the mood during both the ceremony and first dance (I’ll be booking him for my wedding someday!), and the romantic sparkler exit with heart-shaped sparklers. I love this couple dearly, and what an amazing way to end my 2014 year of weddings!
