Alyson & Eric met while both attending the University of Georgia. Life changes have taken them out of state, but they’ll be returning to Athens for their wedding next May at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia, and I can’t wait!! We walked around North Campus and downtown Athens during their engagement session and hit some locations that they visited on their first date. The session was full of new things for me. First, Eric was able to get us access to the rooftop of the UGA Library, which had such a spectacular view! We even got Sanford Stadium in the background of some of the photos (although I have yet to photograph an engagement session INSIDE of Sanford Stadium… anyone?! :)). This fun couple also allowed me to slow down (no pun intended) and try a few concepts I’ve always wanted to try. The last photo is a slow-shutter photo of people crossing Broad Street in downtown Athens… a photo I’ve always had in my mind but never tried. I love how it turned out, and I’m very impressed by Alyson & Eric’s stillness because I didn’t even think to bring a tripod. :) Enjoy!
