What can I say about Molly & Jonah other than how much I adore these two?! They met in high school and continued their relationship through their years at UGA. Jonah romantically proposed to Molly at the fountain on Herty Field, which he decorated with candlelit lanterns. They then reached out to me about their wedding, and it has been an absolute dream working with them. I love their go-with-the-flow attitudes and how much they trust me, even when we’re dealing with really tricky weather. We took their engagement photos during the recent 2-week stretch when it stormed EVERY DAY in Athens. We even pushed the session back a day and took our chances with what looked to be a slightly better forecast… but still it began POURING right in the middle of their session. We hustled into Jittery Joes for cover, which worked out perfectly considering that Molly & Jonah spent tons of time at JJs during their college years. And then they agreed to my random plan: make it to a parking deck. I’ve always loved the way that light reflects in parking decks, so it makes for a perfect “rain plan.” And we were so fortunate that the rain stopped right at the time that we got near the top of the deck, so we were able to get really cool shots with downtown Athens in the background. ANYWAY moral of the story… this couple is awesome and I can’t wait to have more fun with them at their wedding next year!!
Jonah graduated this past May, but Molly still has till December, so she didn’t step under the Arch… :)
This was the moment it started POURING, so we ran as quickly as we could into Jittery Joes (can you tell that Jonah’s hair is wet?)
