Shelby & Ron are both accountants and met at work. They’re getting married next July on a MONDAY (note: wedding vendors LOVE weekday weddings!) due to the 4th of July holiday falling on a Tuesday. They chose to take their engagement photos in Piedmont Park since they both live, work, and fell in love in Atlanta. I loved that they included their dog, Colt, in their photos — He’s PRECIOUS. We couldn’t have asked for a better day weather-wise, and I was shocked that so many trees were still hanging onto their colorful leaves; It made for the perfect backdrop paired with the Atlanta skyline.
One of my favorite things is getting to work with the same families multiple times. Being a wedding photographer, I don’t exactly have “repeat clients,” but it kind of feels that way when I photograph multiple members of a family. Turns out I photographed Shelby’s sister’s engagement photos almost exactly 3 years ago! And I’m honored that she gave my name to Shelby after Ron popped the question. She even came to the shoot to help out and hold Colt’s leash, and it was such a joy getting to see her again. I can’t wait till next July to photograph Shelby & Ron again as they tie the knot!
