Marissa & Derrek have been dear to me for a long time now. I photographed their engagement & wedding 4 years ago (how has it already been four years?!). Needless to say, it was so sweet when they inquired about maternity photos and I got to meet their dog, Freya, who I’ve been following on Instagram for some time now. Freya totally stole the show, as I predicted. But for real, Marissa & Derrek are going to make the BEST parents, and I am so excited for their journey ahead. Grateful that I got to spend this time catching up and celebrating with them. Also I did NOT plan for Marissa’s dress to match the pink blooms so perfectly. Their outfits were INCREDIBLE, and the timing of the session with beautiful spring backgrounds was just too perfect.
