Ashley & Cameron met during the summer of 2011 when Cameron was filling in for his cousin by cutting Ashley’s family’s lawn. Ashley was sleeping in late when her dad came to wake her up before heading to work. She attempted to stay in bed, but when her dad joked that she was “going to miss the hot guy outside cutting the grass,” she sprung right up, did her hair and makeup, and walked outside. She & Cameron then shared an awkward encounter that led to some Facebook stalking (on both ends), and ultimately Cameron asked for her number. They hung out for the rest of that summer and have been inseparable ever since. On 7.22.17, they tied the knot on what was their 6 year anniversary of dating.
Their wedding at 9 Oaks Farm had so many details that I loved. Ashley’s cathedral veil adorned in lace matched her dress perfectly. I loved that Ashley included Cuban and American money in her bridal details that were from significant dates, such as the date her family came to the United States. Ashley & Cameron shared the sweetest First Look and then braved the heat for some gorgeous photos on the property. Another thing I loved was that they chose to face their ceremony toward the trees / sun setting, which provided perfect “golden hour” light for the ceremony. And the DANCING at their reception was incredible! I almost felt bad when I asked if they wanted to take a step outside for some quick night shots, but I’m so glad I did. Ashley ran outside barefoot and ventured into a forested area for a romantic portrait amongst the twinkle lights, and I think that 60 second dancing-break was totally worth the photo we captured. 9 Oaks Farm is hands-down one of my favorite venues, because every wedding I photograph there is so uniquely different! The staff goes out of their way to make every couples’ dreams come true.
