Like true millennials, Cameron & JD met on a dating app. Cameron wasn’t sure if she’d ever get married (“it wasn’t high on the priority list”), but when she met JD, she just knew. In her words: “JD is the calm to my crazy, the stop and smell the roses to my over planned life and the unconditional love that made me believe in this whole happily ever after idea.” And if that isn’t the cutest thing I’ve ever heard, I don’t know what is!
They live in Atlanta, where we did their engagement session, but they chose to get married in one of their favorite cities: Athens, GA. Cameron played tennis at UGA, and JD went to Law School at UGA. Even though their time in the Classic City never overlapped, Athens remains a special place to both of them.
They got married at Georgian Hall downtown on the 50th anniversary of the day man first walked on the moon. Cameron told me from Day 1 that she LOVES color, and her vision came to life so perfectly thanks to an amazing team of vendors. Cameron & JD’s only goal was that “everyone have an amazing time,” and they sure did! They danced the night away, changed clothes, had their “exit,” and then went downtown in true Athens fashion to continue the party!
I’m not sure what my favorite thing about the day was. Maybe how they included their rescue dog ZuZu in photos, their giveaway Koozies, and their Signature Cocktail at the reception. Or the amazing multicolored florals by The Holly Garden. Or how JD spent the ENTIRE day looking at Cameron like she was the only person in the room.
I am so happy for this sweet, thoughtful, and hilarious couple. Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Howard!!!

In typical JD fashion, he photobombed some of Cameron’s bridal portraits. We couldn’t stop laughing.
And then… ZuZu joined!!
We then headed over to Georgian Hall, where we were greeted by the most amazing floral display and ceremony backdrop by The Holly Garden.
