Kristiana & Britain were one of the most relaxed couples I’ve photographed. The forecast for their wedding day would make any bride panic a little, but Kristiana never seemed too concerned. Forecasters were calling for horrible storms, hail, and 100% chance of rain ALL DAY… But something miraculous happened and not a single drop fell from the sky, and the couple ended up having their ceremony outside as they had originally hoped.
Britain is originally from Indiana and Kristiana grew up in Latvia, but they met while both working for the Walt Disney Company in Florida. They’ve both now made their homes in Georgia, and Britain proposed at the top of Brasstown Bald, the highest peak in Georgia, on the Summer Soltice… in Latvian!!
Along with the gorgeous weather, Britain & Kristiana had an amazing team of vendors during their wedding at the Whitlock Inn in Marietta, Georgia (see below!). I love that even though Kristiana & Britain chose to do a “first look,” Kristiana still had her father walk her to where Britain awaited and handed her over on their wedding day. I had never seen that before, and it made the moment even more memorable and touching. Another part of their day that stood out was photographing them with the stunning LOVE marquee sign that they made from scratch!! From only a photo on Pinterest (and the help of Kristiana’s dad), they were able to cut out, stain, drill holes, apply aluminum siding, and completely create every single letter!
