Shannon is from Athens, and Ben is from Missouri. However, they both ended up pursuing Ph.D.s in accounting at The University of Texas at Austin. They met through the program, graduated, got married last week, and are now starting their careers teaching at the University of Arizona. What a whirlwind!
I was thrilled when Shannon contacted me from Texas about her intimate wedding in Athens. Because all of the planning was long-distance, we weren’t able to meet in person until the day before the wedding. After their rehearsal dinner at the Last Resort, we spent time walking around downtown Athens and exploring some of Shannon’s favorite places from her time in Athens… while taking photos, of course. :) Their wedding the next day was at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia, and it was BEAUTIFUL. I can’t wait to share more photos from that day. But for now, enjoy these pre-wedding “engagement” photos. :)
