I am so fortunate to live in a town where there is such a strong sense of community, especially amongst artists. Most of my closest friends are fellow photographers, who TECHNICALLY are my “competition,” but I don’t think anyone in this town sees it that way. I get so much joy from referring clients to other amazing photographers when I’m booked or think someone else is a better fit. I’m the first person to RAVE about the talent in this town and share all my inspirations — and Sara is one of them. She does her own work through Sara Wise Photography and also shoots weddings with her brother — Sara & Logan. She’s a Jack-of-all-trades, an amazing mom, and such a light to everyone who knows her.
For the last few months, Sara had been asking if I wanted to “swap headshots” — something that’s super necessary for photographers, because we’re RARELY in FRONT of the camera. :) I’ll be honest… at first I was mega-avoiding it, because I really hate being photographed (ironic?). However, I am a huge advocate of existing in photos and letting professionals show you how the world sees you, so ultimately I decided to swallow my fear of the camera and stop being a hypocrite, hah!
Sara & I had so much fun playing around at one of my new studio spaces, and I love these images I captured of her. And be on the lookout…… because I’ll soon be sharing the photos she took of me! *gasp* :)
