If you missed Darcie & William’s engagement session in Piedmont Park and on the Atlanta Beltline, go take a look! It was one of my favorite sessions… mainly because I LOVED getting to know this awesome couple!
Darcie and William just recited their vows in front of their immediate families during an intimate ceremony at the Historic Dekalb Courthouse… and it was perfect. They opted out of doing the large, traditional Saturday wedding and went for a small weekday celebration that suited their relationship, and I LOVE that. Plus it’s wayyy more budget-friendly to get married on a weekday (wink wink to any money-saving couples out there!).
I also love that Darcie and William are partners in everything they do. They talked about every step of the process, from what ring Darcie liked, to the timeframe for when William would propose, and Darcie was even torn between wedding dresses… so she showed William and let him have the final say! And despite what people might think, their “first look” was still just as sweet and emotional. I love that they embrace breaking “tradition” to follow the path that feels right for them, and I especially love that they make all of their decisions together — I feel like that’s a really good starting point for a marriage!
All in all, it was a touching day shared with their close family members, and I am so honored to have witnessed and captured the occasion. I am over the moon excited for Darcie & William as they enter married life.
