Jamie & Jeff were just good friends throughout high school, although Jeff admits to having a crush on Jamie at the time. They grew up in Florida, where Jeff’s dad was actually a member of The Dapper Dans barbershop quartet on Main Street USA at Walt Disney World (how cool is this?!). A few years ago when Jeff’s dad retired, Jeff was looking for old photos of them singing together at Disney, and Jamie was able to dig up some old photos from their high school days. This led to them reconnecting, and the rest is history! They’re of course huge Disney lovers and even got engaged at Disney.
They’ve recently moved to Atlanta, and while they wish to one day have a larger wedding with their families down in Florida, they decided to go ahead and tie the knot in a small ceremony here. They had 4 of their close couple-friends in attendance and said their vows in Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park in Hapeville, GA. It was my first time in Hapeville, and it’s such an artsy little town! Upon driving in, I spotted a colorfully painted staircase (actually an old bridge that crosses the railroad tracks) and instantly knew I’d have to take Jamie & Jeff there for pictures. They’re such a colorful and fun couple, and the whole afternoon was a blast. We planned for cold weather in late January (hence Jamie’s gorgeous fur wrap), but were actually blessed with a really pleasant day.
After leaving the park, we headed to Jamie’s best friend’s house where they had set up a beautiful tablescape and hired a chef to cook them all dinner. Jamie & her best friend are both designers, so the details were STUNNING. I loved the magnolia leaf touches everywhere.
